On August 12th 2025, NTQ, a global IT service provider, officially entered a partnership with Softberry, a South Korea-based company specializing in electric vehicle (EV) solutions, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to drive the transformation of Vietnam’s EV industry by leveraging both companies’ strengths to develop innovative, locally adapted solutions and pursue long-term market expansion.
Softberry, founded in 2017, is a leading provider of EV infrastructure services in South Korea. The company operates EV Infra, the country’s largest EV service platform, offering charging station search, payments, user reviews, and related content. Its core solutions include EVI Hub, a B2B tool for managing EV charging operations; and EVI Data, which delivers real-time station data and user analytics for businesses and public agencies. With 820K+ downloads, 340K+ active users, and 300K+ community posts, Softberry has become a trusted partner for EV drivers and major players like Hyundai and KEPCO, solidifying its leadership in Korea’s EV market.
As Vietnam focuses on developing EV infrastructure to promote greener transportation, new policy directions are gradually encouraging a shift from fuel-powered vehicles to electric ones, especially in inner-city areas, fostering cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable urban living. EV expansion has been considered one of the key initiatives within the Vietnamese government’s goal towards sustainable growth.
Recognizing this momentum, NTQ and South Korea’s EV tech leader Softberry have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), focusing on key areas that contribute to the comprehensive establishment of Vietnam’s EV Infrastructure, including:
Developing an integrated EV platform tailored for the Vietnamese market: Combining Softberry’s EV technology with NTQ’s development and operational capabilities to design and implement a system optimized for local conditions.
Building both B2C and B2B business models: Targeting not only end consumers but also connecting with infrastructure developers, charging station operators, manufacturers, and regulatory bodies to establish new revenue models that deliver greater value to the EV market.
Expanding strategic partnerships with both public and private sectors: Proactively aligning with Vietnam’s EV development policies, fostering collaboration with government agencies and private organizations to create opportunities for real-world project deployment, build sustainable relationships, and accelerate the establishment of a complete, synchronized infrastructure that supports the growth of Vietnam’s EV industry.
Into The New Future For Vietnam’s EV Industry
Through this collaboration, NTQ & Softberry aim to strengthen infrastructure, enhance accessibility, and conduct pilot deployments of the solution in major cities. Both companies will also work to connect with manufacturers, service providers, and policymakers to ensure feasibility and alignment with the specific characteristics of Vietnam’s EV industry.
NTQ and Softberry establish a long-term growth vision, centralizing around the key goal of building a streamlined & standardized market, and leveraging high-quality products & solutions for the EV sector in Vietnam. To achieve this goal, both sides will work closely together through various aspects. This includes the discussion of legal & administrative requirements, planning of pilot areas in Vietnam’s large cities, and proposing connections with local EV service providers, EV manufacturers, and policy-making organizations.
“This partnership is a significant milestone that aligns with NTQ’s vision of contributing to the advancement of EV infrastructure in Vietnam. It shows our dedication to innovation, sustainable growth, and diversifying our scope of competences to generate practical impacts for the local industry”. said Mr. Pham Thai Son, CEO of NTQ, about the meaning of strategic partnership.
Mr. Park Yong Hee, CEO of Softberry, shared: “This is an opportunity for Softberry to advance our strategy of expanding EV solutions tailored to global markets, with Vietnam serving as a key link in Southeast Asia. This partnership will lay the foundation for Vietnam’s EV infrastructure and contribute to building a smart, sustainable transportation environment.”
This MoU signifies more than a formal agreement. It shows a shared commitment to improving EV infrastructure in Vietnam. By combining NTQ’s local reaching ability with SoftBerry’s global EV technology competencies, the two companies plan to create a next-generation EV ecosystem. This ecosystem will strengthen the country’s electric mobility foundation, support stakeholders, and speed up the shift toward sustainable transportation.
