NTQ Spread Kindness Towards Employees Affected By Natural Disaster

The raining season in 2025 has been tough with the appearance of abnormal tropical storms & heavy floods with historic records in frequency and damages, severely affecting communities across multiple regions. Beyond the visible devastation, these disasters have also affected the living standard of countless people — including some of our very own NTQ members and their loved ones.

In these difficult times, more than ever, our NTQ community stands together. The call for support is not just about rebuilding homes or restoring belongings, but about helping each other regain stability, hope, and the strength to move forward. During the past month, our key initiative “Growing Kindness Together” has continued to spread meaningful support to all the members of our community suffered by the damage of the natural disaster in the past month. 

Sharing & Caring As The Priority 

During the early days of October, two consecutive typhoons — No.10 and No.11 — struck several northern and central provinces of Vietnam, including Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Nghe An, and Ninh Binh. The back-to-back storms caused severe destruction across these regions, damaging public infrastructure, schools, and healthcare centers. Many families were left isolated, with their homes destroyed and limited access to electricity, clean water, and essential food supplies.

Amidst this challenging time, our priority was to reach out to NTQ members and their families who were directly affected by the disaster. After gathering detailed information on the cases, NTQ organized a special session to motivate, accompany, and make a donation to the affected members in accelerating the recovery process upon the disaster. 

These meaningful gifts have been gathered by NTQ-ers across the globe through different initiatives, from the fundraising competition, the “My Dream” painting exhibition, and the direct donation from individuals & departments. The heartfelt participation of every member, together with their spirit of compassion and solidarity, has helped nurture a community grounded in kindness, positivity, and mutual support — where people stand by one another, especially in times of hardship. 

“Growing Kindness Together” – A Relentless Flaming Spirit Within NTQ’s Community

“Growing Kindness Together”, as the name suggests, has been one of the key initiatives of NTQ to spread positive values and contribution to the society through the act of sharing, caring and donating necessities to those facing difficult situations. Fueled by its heartfelt purpose and the enthusiastic participation of NTQ-ers across the globe, the initiative has continued to thrive over the years, bringing warmth, hope, and unity to countless individuals and families during their most challenging times.

Back in 2024, in attempts to spread kindness towards the victims of the historic Yagi typhoon, NTQ has contributed financial donations through various programs, including the fundraising program for Lao Cai province from Tien Phong Newspaper, direct donations to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The company also identified members affected by the typhoon, promptly visited and provided necessary support to encourage these members to overcome difficulties, and swiftly recover from the effects of the calamity.

Asides from supporting victims of natural disasters, “Growing Kindness Together” initiative has expanded into various activities across different areas. In 2022, NTQ shared the misfortune with the elderly and young children living in Social Protection Center III in Hanoi. In the same year, the company launched the event Move to Shine 2022 – “Run To Nurture Kindness” – where over 300 NTQ-ers from 22 teams ran more than 400 km in total. With each kilometre completed, NTQ contributed VNĐ 50,000 to the internal “Community Fund”, culminating in a raise of more than VNĐ 20 million to help disadvantaged individuals.

In February 2023, NTQ-ers donated 1,000 cinnamon trees to Hòa Bình province, contributing to environmental protection, rural livelihoods and the long-term welfare of local communities. With this project, NTQ reinforced the value of “Generosity” in its development strategy and showed how acts of giving and sustainability go hand in hand.  

The journey of kindness has also been reflected in various initiatives, including book donation for children living in rural areas, blood donation to fuel the supply for the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion… 

Kindness As The Core Spirit 

More than just an act of donation, “Growing Kindness” has truly grown as one of the key spirits of NTQ’s community, reflecting the corporate core values “Generousity” and “Accompanion”. At NTQ, every act of kindness starts from within. The unity and compassion shown among our members — especially during times of hardship — are not only a source of strength, but also the very foundation that keeps our community connected.

These small yet meaningful gestures of care have created a ripple effect that extends far beyond our workplace — reaching families, neighborhoods, and society at large. They remind us that kindness doesn’t always come from grand gestures, but often begins with simple acts of empathy and solidarity.

Through the “Growing Kindness Together” spirit, NTQ continues to nurture a culture where people stand by one another, grow together, and spread positive values to the world — one act of kindness at a time.
